Every unanswered call is a customer calling the next company on the list. Pick your trade, drag in your own numbers, and see what missed calls are quietly costing you every month — then what it looks like to answer them all.
The math no one shows you
Drag your own numbers. This is real revenue walking out the door every month calls go unanswered — before a competitor picks it up first.
These are your figures × simple math — not a promise or a guarantee. Crush It Engine answers the calls you miss and texts back the ones it can't, so fewer of them turn into someone else's job.

There's no trick to it. The calculator multiplies three numbers you already know:
calls / week that would have booked × 4.33 weeks × average job value = lost revenue / month
The only debatable input is how many would have booked — out of your missed calls, how many were real, ready-to-hire customers rather than spam or wrong numbers. We start it at a conservative third; set it to your own reality. Everything else is your actual business, and you can check every number on a calculator.
Not sure what your average ticket is? These are conservative starting points for local service trades — set at or below what the platforms that actually see the transactions report. Pick your trade in the calculator to autofill, then adjust to your numbers.
Repairs run ~$950; replacements $8k–$25k (Jobber). One missed call can be a whole roof.
Water-damage jobs average ~$3,800 — and they're emergencies, so the first answer usually wins.
A room runs $400–$1,200; a full interior averages ~$5,000. Callers are comparing quotes.
Service tickets ~$320–$650; installs run $5k–$15k+. A missed call could be either.
Trimming ~$460, removals ~$630. Storm season spikes urgent, high-intent calls.
Repairs ~$367; new-door installs $1,300–$4,600. Repair callers want it fixed today.
Average ticket ~$348–$419 nationally; panel and EV work push far higher.
Maintenance ~$333; projects $300–$800+. The best callers become recurring accounts.
ServiceTitan's average plumbing ticket; top operators clear $850+. Emergencies pay more.
Average repair orders run $250–$430. A booked bay beats a busy signal every time.
Initial service $150–$300 — but the real value is the recurring contract behind it.
$173 recurring / $209 one-time — and cleaning has the highest repeat-revenue potential.

Every trade loses calls differently — a plumber's 2am flood isn't a painter's five-bid race. Open the version written for yours, with the pain, the numbers, and the fix specific to your business.
When someone with a burst pipe or a dead AC calls you and gets voicemail, they don't leave a message and wait. They hang up and call the next number. The job you paid to market for — the ad, the truck wrap, the Google listing — books with whoever answers first. You never even know it happened.
That's what makes the number above sting: it isn't theoretical waste, it's demand you already earned, walking out the door. And it compounds — the customer who hires your competitor today is the one who calls them next time, and refers them to a neighbor.
Crush It Engine exists to close that gap. An AI receptionist answers your line 24/7 — it explains your offer, qualifies the caller, and hands you the lead. And the calls that still slip through get a friendly text back in seconds (8am–8pm), so the conversation keeps going instead of dying at the dial tone.
Want to see exactly how much you'd stop losing? Drop your number and we'll call you back fast — the same speed Crush It Engine would answer your customers. We practice what we sell.
Put a receptionist on it in minutes — and hear it answer before you pay a dime of setup.
